Using Social Media to Spread Your Message and Your Mission
A social media campaign was developed to promote the nonprofit organization, the American Indian College Fund, and their board member Dave Rogers, who was about to embark on a long, dangerous hike on the GR10 Pyrenees Traverse to raise awareness and funds for student scholarships.

This social media campaign aimed to:

  1. Acquire new followers on Twitter and likes/friends on Facebook.
  2. Increase traffic to American Indian College Fund blog.
  3. Increase reach to outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers, and build interest from this audience.
  4. Communicate the mission of the organization and its tie with the outdoors and environment.

Eight tweets were sent out. These included updates on Dave's trek, fundraising asks in Dave's name, promotion of individual events for outdoor enthusiasts and the Fund's traditional philosophy on the outdoors and environment.
