Retain Your Donors By Simply Saying “Thank You”
This package was truly a stewardship effort to thank the donor again for all that they have done and let them know their gift(s) to Philabundance had really mattered in the fight against hunger. 

Donors were sent a note card with a live, handwritten message from the President of Philabundance. The piece was mailed in a closed-face envelope with a live handwritten address. First class postage was used for both outgoing and return. A reply slip was included with a very soft ask.

The immediate results for this effort were way beyond expectations. While we were happy with the unexpected initial results of the effort, the true value of this mailing was realized over the long term. The retention rate for long-standing donors increased 4.9% that year and recaptured one-year donors increased their retention by 8.8%.
